A major employer with long ties to the area is relocating its headquarters out of Horsham Township, Pennsylvania after nearly two decades, according to reporting from the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Bimbo Bakeries USA announced it is moving its U.S. headquarters from Horsham to Irving, Texas, where a new office is expected to house about 100 employees by mid-2026. Company leadership has already begun transitioning to the new location.
The company, known for brands like Entenmann’s, Sara Lee, and Thomas’ English Muffins, said the move is aimed at placing operations closer to its parent company, Grupo Bimbo, and creating more centralized coordination across the U.S.
While the headquarters is leaving the region, company officials said there are no immediate layoffs tied to the move. About 200 employees had been based in Horsham, many working on hybrid schedules, and only a portion of roles are expected to relocate.
Bimbo emphasized it will maintain a presence in the Philadelphia region, including its distribution and sales operations in Conshohocken, which supports mid-Atlantic markets.
The company also noted that its long-standing sponsorship of the Philadelphia Union soccer team will remain unchanged.
The relocation marks another high-profile corporate shift out of the region, though Bimbo officials say they remain committed to local operations and the communities they serve.
