A local resident was taken into custody following a disturbance involving a baseball bat at a Blue Bell leasing office, according to the Whitpain Township Police Department.
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, an officer from the Whitpain Township Police Department was dispatched at approximately 12:47 p.m. to the Blue Bell Villas Leasing Office at 1560 Wick Lane in Blue Bell following reports of an armed individual.
According to reports, the resident, identified as Patrick Brady, 44, of Blue Bell, was reportedly threatening staff members with a baseball bat. Responding officers were advised that the subject was actively confronting employees inside the leasing office.
According to statements provided to police, Brady allegedly entered the leasing office around 12:45 p.m. carrying a baseball bat and began yelling at employees, including demands to take their clothes off. Witnesses reported that he made threatening and disturbing statements, including demands directed at staff members to shower with him in his apartment.
Police say Brady allegedly struck a desk with the bat multiple times, causing visible damage and breaking off a portion of the furniture. One employee reported having to move quickly from their workstation to avoid being struck as objects were knocked across the office.
Witnesses further reported that Brady continued shouting threats at staff members, including statements suggesting he knew where employees lived and made additional disturbing remarks about their children.
During the incident, Brady allegedly grabbed at one employee, who pushed his hands away before separating from him. No serious physical injuries were reported at the scene.
Officers took Brady into custody without further incident. He was transported for processing and is now facing criminal charges related to the incident.
Brady is facing multiple charges stemming from the incident.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 23, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Suzan Leonard.
