A Philadelphia man was arrested after allegedly crashing into a parked vehicle, fleeing the scene, and later being found in possession of a firearm with an invalid permit, according to local authorities.

Raymond Robinson, 69, of Philadelphia, is facing a felony charge stemming from the incident.

Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Easton Road in the Willow Grove section of Abington Township following reports of a hit-and-run involving a white Hyundai Santa Cruz. The caller reported that the vehicle was heading southbound on Easton Road.

Responding officers quickly located a vehicle matching that description near the intersection of Pershing Avenue and initiated a traffic stop in the parking lot of 1318 Easton Road.

The driver, identified as , exited the vehicle immediately upon stopping. According to police, Robinson admitted to striking a parked car and leaving the scene without providing information.

During the investigation, Robinson also informed officers that he had a pistol stored under the driver’s seat. He presented what police described as an expired license to carry a concealed firearm issued out of Philadelphia. Authorities determined that the license had expired in 2018 and had reportedly been revoked earlier, in 2013, following a domestic assault-related incident.

Robinson now faces multiple charges related to the hit-and-run and firearm possession.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 28, 2026, at 10:15 a.m. before Judge John D. Kessler.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
