Corey Smith, 37, of the 1600 block of Tuckerstown Road in Dresher, is facing felony charges related to sale of firearms and narcotics, according to police.

Smith became the subject of a joint DEA and Montgomery County Detective Bureau investigation after a DEA wiretap captured him offering firearms for sale to a target in a drug case.

Smith had purchased at least 14 firearms, prompting an inquiry into potential illegal firearm transfers.

On July 22, 2025, investigators obtained a warrant for Smith’s arrest. When surveillance at his Dresher home failed to locate him, agents contacted his wife, Laura Smith, who stated that he was working in Lebanon.

With her consent, and Smith’s own approval via FaceTime, officers conducted a consent search of the residence, seizing 30 items including firearms, suppressors, parts, tools, and sales records.

During the FaceTime conversation, Smith allegedly admitted to lying on federal firearm purchase paperwork by falsely answering “no” to the question asking if he was an unlawful user of or addicted to narcotics.

Records show Smith purchased multiple firearms between 2012 and 2025 from various dealers in Pennsylvania, including Guardian Training Center in Warminster, The Bunker Gun Shop in Warminster, and Clayton's Range in Horsham. Many of these weapons were recovered from his home, while some were claimed to have been legally transferred to licensed dealers.

The following firearms were recovered from the residence of Smith:

1. Glock, Model 44, .22 Cal, Serial Number AHLN539
2. FN-FLA, Model 509, 9mm, Serial Number GKS0352731
3. Raidan, Model AT-15, .556 Cal, Serial Number R1-007171
4. Staccato, Model XC, 9mm, Serial Number XC2213404
5. Staccato, Model 2011 HD, 9mm, Serial Number P401488
6. Heckler & Koch, Model SP5K PDW, 9mm, Serial Number 273009966 9
7. Sig-Sauer, Model P365, 9mm, Serial Number 66F508775
8. Glock, Model 17, 9mm, Serial Number BGEW164
9. FN-FLA, Model Vanta 9K DLC, 9mm Serial Number V9K-W0125
10. Glock, Model Unknown, 9mm, Serial Number BYYH108
11. Glock, Model Unknown, 9mm, Serial Number N9X01411
12. Glock, Model Unknown, 9mm, Serial Number N95001216

He also reportedly confirmed to police that he knowingly provided false information on federal firearm transaction records to complete his purchases.

Smith is facing multiple felony charges, including the sale or transfer of firearms.

Detective Drew Marino of the Montgomery County Detective Bureau requested an arrest warrant for Corey Smith, citing his illegal drug use, falsification of firearm purchase documents, and potential firearm violations.

A formal arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 10, 2025.

Smith posted bail, which was set at $10,000.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
