Hatboro eatery earns praise in Philadelphia Magazine

A Hatboro brewpub is getting regional recognition after being featured in a glowing review by Philadelphia Magazine, which praised the restaurant’s simple approach to food and standout craft beer selection.
Concordance Ferments, located at 18 Horsham Road inside a historic mill along Pennypack Creek, was highlighted for its atmosphere, understated menu, and carefully crafted beers.
The review described the eatery as a place where “the thing itself matters,” praising dishes such as tomato soup paired with grilled cheese, handmade mushroom tortellini, shepherd’s pie, and charcuterie offerings. The publication also applauded the brewery’s softer, more subtle beer styles, including its Bavarian pilsner and Nordic farmhouse ale.
Opened by longtime friends Dave Sakolsky and Abe Goldstein, Concordance Ferments was described as the kind of relaxed neighborhood brewpub the pair always wanted to create: blending rustic charm with a focus on quality ingredients and approachable flavors.
The Hatboro spot received a four-star rating from the magazine and was recognized for offering a quieter, more thoughtful alternative to trend-driven craft beer destinations across the region.
