A sweet new addition is on the way to the region, and just in time for warmer weather.
Residents can look forward to a brand new Rita's Italian Ice, which is set to open by the end of the month, according to officials, at 1116 Horsham Road. The new location takes over the previous spot occupied by Mr. Wish at Horsham Road Center.
The address is listed in Ambler, but Horsham officials are touting the new business as Horsham's first Rita's Water Ice.
"Horsham’s first Rita’s!!! We can’t wait!!! It’s going to be a great spring and summer," Horsham officials wrote.
The owners of the Rita's Water Ice in Warrington are moving from the Bucks County location to open the new one here in Montgomery County, according to Rita's officials.
"Happy to report our new Rita’s location is nearing completion of the build-out. Nancy and Bill look forward to serving you soon!" a Facebook post said.
The upcoming shop marks a milestone for the area, bringing the popular frozen treat destination even closer to local neighborhoods.
According to Horsham officials, the new location will feature a "unique" store layout, offering a fresh experience for visitors.
While an official opening date has not yet been announced, the countdown is underway, and more details are expected in the coming weeks.
