County Line Road reopens after pedestrian struck in 'serious' crash; investigation ongoing

A stretch of County Line Road in Horsham Township has reopened after being closed for several hours Thursday morning due to a serious crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Officials gave an update around 10 a.m. stating that County Line Road has reopened, however, police are still investigating the crash

Emergency crews initially responded to the intersection of County Line Road and S Norristown Road at approximately 6:45 a.m., according to the Horsham Township Chief’s Advisory Team. The incident prompted authorities to immediately shut down County Line Road in the area as police began an accident investigation.

Horsham police described the crash as a “serious” accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. However, police have not released additional details about the incident, including the condition of the pedestrian or how the crash occurred.

Drivers were urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while investigators and emergency personnel worked at the scene.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
