Horsham Township officially welcomed three new members to the Horsham Police Department at this week's Township Council meeting.

Officer Nordia Henry, Officer Edward Butterworth, and Officer Anthony Matteo were formally sworn in before council members, township officials, family, and residents in attendance. The ceremony signaled the beginning of their service to Horsham, as each officer took an oath to protect and serve the community.

Adding new officers helps strengthen the department’s ability to respond to calls for service, engage in proactive policing, and maintain the high level of public safety the community expects.

The Horsham Police Department emphasized that each new officer brings unique skills, training, and perspectives to the force. As they begin their duties, they will undergo continued training and field experience to ensure they are fully prepared to serve the township’s diverse neighborhoods, businesses, and schools.
