Visitors to Deep Meadow Park will soon notice a brighter and safer experience, as new parking lot lights were officially connected and turned on this week.
On Tuesday, PECO utility crews were on site completing the electrical connection to the newly installed lighting, marking another milestone in recent improvements at the park. The upgrades follow the recent paving of the parking lot, replacing the former gravel surface and significantly improving access for park users.
The enhanced lighting is expected to make evening visits safer and more convenient, particularly for families attending Little League practices and games who previously had to navigate the lot in low-light conditions.
"With a freshly paved lot and improved lighting, gone are the days of walking back to your car in the dark after Little League practices and games in the old gravel lot," Horsham Township officials wrote.
Although winter conditions may make the park appear quiet for now, township officials say progress on local projects continues despite the cold weather. The improvements at Deep Meadow Park are part of broader efforts to keep infrastructure upgrades on track and prepare for increased park use in the spring.
The parking lot lights were illuminated for the first time last night, signaling that the project is complete and ready for the upcoming season.
