The Hatboro-Horsham School District has announced that all district schools will remain closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, due to ongoing hazardous winter weather conditions across the area.

District officials cited persistent snow and ice on side streets and throughout residential neighborhoods, creating dangerous travel conditions, particularly for students waiting at bus stops and for transportation staff navigating back roads early in the morning.

The closure was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure student safety and to allow additional time for road conditions to improve before school buses resume travel throughout the community.

While schools will be closed, Hatboro-Horsham School District offices will open on a two-hour delay.

In related announcements, Horsham Township officials confirmed that the Horsham Township Municipal Building will open at its regular time of 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The Horsham Township Library will open later in the morning at 10:00 a.m.

High school afternoon activities will be coordinated by building principals in conjunction with Activities and Athletic Directors. Families involved in these activities should look for guidance directly from school administrators.

The Hatboro-Horsham School Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening will proceed as planned. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at Keith Valley Middle School.

Essential district employees, including maintenance and custodial personnel, will receive specific instructions from their supervisors regarding reporting times.

Residents are encouraged to use caution while traveling and to remain alert to changing conditions as cleanup efforts continue throughout the community.
