The legal case stemming from a pedestrian-involved traffic incident involving former Hatboro Borough Council President George Bollendorf has been resolved, according to a report.

Bollendorf, 54, appeared before Hatboro-Horsham District Judge Todd Stephens on Wednesday in connection with a motor vehicle crash that occurred in September.

According to Hatboro Police Chief Mark Ruegg, the investigation into the crash resulted in Bollendorf being issued a summary traffic citation. Court records show that Bollendorf was originally charged with failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian and had entered a not guilty plea, prompting a scheduled summary trial on Jan. 7.

During the hearing, the charge was amended to obedience to traffic-control devices. Bollendorf then entered a guilty plea to the revised citation, bringing the case to a close, according to court documentation.

Bollendorf served as Hatboro Borough Council president for eight years before stepping down in 2025.
