Horsham Township Council will conduct its next public meeting with a mix of municipal business, community remembrance, and upcoming event announcements important to township residents.

The meeting will take place tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 6 p.m., at the Horsham Township Municipal Building, located at 1025 Horsham Road.

The meeting will begin with a moment of silence honoring the life of Walter “Wally” Grummun, a longtime community volunteer whose contributions to Horsham will be recognized by council members.

Among the key items on the agenda, council will consider the results of a bid for the Horsham Road and Tournament Drive Traffic Signal Modernization Project, a planned improvement aimed at upgrading traffic flow and safety at the intersection. Council members are also expected to authorize the solicitation of bids for new ADA-compliant ramps, part of ongoing efforts to improve accessibility throughout the township.

Officials announced that the next Horsham Township Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 6 p.m.

In addition to council business, residents were reminded of several upcoming community events:

  • The annual Freezer 5K is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 18, at Simmons Elementary School, with registration beginning at 8 a.m.
  • The Horsham Winter Farmers’ Market will also take place Sunday, Jan. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Horsham Township Library.
  • Looking ahead, the township will host a Read Local Author Showcase on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Horsham Township Library.

As always, council will also provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions or offer public comment before moving on to routine business, including approval of the minutes from the previous meeting.
