After a fire ripped through Clayton’s Hunting and Fishing earlier this week, the store is beginning to rebound.

The owner recently provided an update on the situation that has unfolded in the days after the blaze broke out at 660 Easton Road in Horsham Township.

The facility remains temporarily closed as the fire destroyed its indoor ranges and caused extensive smoke and water damage.

According to the business, the fire began in the larger range and quickly spread to the smaller range, leaving both areas completely destroyed. While the storefront was not significantly damaged by flames, officials said heavy smoke and water damage impacted that portion of the building as well.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported, and all people and animals inside the building were able to escape safely.

In a message shared with the community, the owner thanked customers, neighbors and first responders for their support, noting that the situation could have been far worse without the quick response and outreach from the public.

"I would like to extend my most sincere gratitude to every person who called, texted, DMed, commented, stopped by, offered help, and most of all to our first responders," it said on its social media page. "This entire situation could have been far worse without the support of so many of you."

The business is now working through next steps, including addressing firearms stored on-site and handling active memberships. Customers are being asked for patience as plans are developed, with additional updates expected in the coming days.

Clayton’s Hunting and Fishing said it will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available and expressed gratitude for the outpouring of community support.
