Horsham Township is seeking to fill a key leadership role within its municipal government and is now accepting applications for Assistant Director of Finance.
The full-time position is part of the township’s senior management team and reports directly to the Director of Finance. According to the township, the Assistant Director of Finance will play a major role in developing and implementing financial procedures while helping oversee a wide range of fiscal operations.
Responsibilities include managing and monitoring the township budget, financial auditing, forecasting and long-term planning, investments, revenue collection, payroll, pension administration and other core finance functions.
Township officials say the ideal candidate will be a dynamic and personable professional with strong leadership skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Applicants should also demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills.
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, public administration or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible financial management experience. Government experience is preferred.
