Horsham Township officially welcomed its newly seated Township Council during this week's annual Council Reorganization Meeting, marking the beginning of a new term of local leadership.
After being voted in last month, Horsham ceremoniously welcomed Samantha Slaff as Council President, Ellen Zschunke as Vice President, and Elizabeth Thomson as Treasurer. Together, they will guide the council’s work and help set priorities for the township in the year ahead.
The township also welcomed John McCarty and Dr. Ruth Patterson as council members, joining the governing body as it begins its new term. Each member brings valuable experience and a shared commitment to serving the residents of Horsham Township.
"Each brings valuable experience, and a shared commitment to serving our community," Horsham Township said. "Please join us in welcoming our Township Council and wishing them success as they begin this new term of service."
The annual reorganization meeting serves to formally seat council members and appoint leadership roles following municipal elections. The Township Council is responsible for overseeing township operations, establishing policy, and addressing issues important to the Horsham community.
