Horsham Township residents are reminded that Christmas tree recycling will be available through local trash haulers in the weeks following the holiday season.
Only live Christmas trees will be accepted for recycling. Artificial trees will not be collected. Residents should ensure that all decorations, lights, tinsel, and tree stands are completely removed, as trees with any remaining materials cannot be composted.
Trees should be placed at the curb where residents normally set out their trash containers the night before the scheduled pickup date.
According to information provided to the township, Christmas tree pickup dates by hauler are as follows:
B Gone: Saturday, Jan. 3
Republic Services: Saturday, Jan. 10
Waste Management: Saturday, Jan. 10
Whitetail: Saturday, Jan. 17
Envirogreen: Date to be determined
Residents are strongly encouraged to confirm pickup dates directly with their trash hauler, as schedules may change. In the event of severe weather, collections may be rescheduled.
