BREAKING: driver trapped after crash into pole in Upper Moreland, according to reports

Emergency crews from the Upper Moreland Fire Department responded to the scene of a vehicle rescue Thursday afternoon after a crash left a driver trapped inside his car, according to reports. 

The accident occurred at approximately 4:55 p.m. on 2200 block of Computer Avenue near the CubeSmart Self Storage facility following reports of a vehicle striking a pole, according to reports.

First responders found a driver, believed to be a man in his 30s, who had reportedly hit his head during the crash and was unable to exit the vehicle on his own. 

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area near the intersection of Welsh Road and Maryland Road as emergency crews continue to operate at the scene and traffic disruptions are expected.

No additional details were immediately available, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
