Home At Last Dog Rescue is excited to introduce Penny, a nearly three-year-old Hound mix, as their featured rescue of the week.
Penny is a shy but affectionate 55-pound girl who forms strong bonds with her people. Once she feels comfortable, she loves attention and quickly becomes a true “Velcro dog,” happiest when she’s close to her favorite human. She is crate- and house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys playtime, though cuddling is her favorite activity.
Penny would do best with an experienced dog owner and a calm household. She gets along with other dogs but prefers gentle companions, and slow introductions would be needed with cats. She may be cautious with new experiences at first, but with patience she adjusts well and thrives in a quieter home with mature children.
