Two juveniles have been charged in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred in Hatboro in January, the Hatboro police announced.
According to the Hatboro Police Department, officers responded on Jan. 10, 2026, to Earl Lane after a resident reported that their vehicle had been broken into. While canvassing the area, officers discovered two additional vehicles that had also been entered. All three incidents occurred along Earl Lane.
Shortly after locating the damaged vehicles, officers observed two individuals entering an Uber near the scene of the break-ins. Police made contact with the pair and determined they were juveniles who did not reside in the neighborhood.
Authorities said both individuals were dressed in all-black clothing, including black face coverings, and were carrying a black backpack. After being questioned at the scene, they were released pending further investigation.
Police later reviewed surveillance footage from the area, which allegedly showed the same two juveniles breaking into the vehicles. Following the investigation, both were petitioned to juvenile court on charges related to the incidents.
Because the suspects are juveniles, their identities are not being released.
