Emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in the 2300 block of Byberry Road in Upper Moreland Township, according to reports.
The crash occurred around 3:03 p.m., near the intersection of Karen Lane and Short Lane, when a vehicle struck a telephone pole. According to officials, the impact caused the pole to fall onto the car. The vehicle was reported to be smoking following the collision.
Firefighters from the Upper Moreland Township Fire Department responded to the scene to secure the area and assist as needed.
PECO has been notified about the damaged utility pole.
