A new thrift store with a mission has officially opened in Horsham Township, as Worthwhile Thrift welcomed community members and local officials to its new location in the Village Mall Shopping Center.

Proceeds from the new store, located at 200 Blair Mill Road, will help to provide safe housing, education, employment assistance, and prevention services for individuals affected by human trafficking, which is part of the organization's mission.

The store is open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Wednesday, the store closes at 4 p.m.; and is closed entirely on Sunday.

Horsham Township Council recently visited the store, receiving a presentation and tour highlighting both the retail operation and the nonprofit mission behind it.

Residents can support the mission in several ways, including shopping at the store, volunteering, or donating gently used items.

About Worthwhile

Worthwhile was founded after a life-changing encounter in 2010, when founder Dan Emr first learned that human trafficking and modern-day slavery still exist. Moved by the stories of women trapped in trafficking and compelled to take action, Dan made the difficult decision to leave a successful career in sales and marketing to fully commit to becoming part of the solution.

Drawing from his upbringing as a missionary kid in Ukraine and guided by a deep belief in human dignity, Dan launched Worthwhile in India in 2012, followed by expanded programs in the United States in 2014. Today, Worthwhile provides the most comprehensive services to survivors of human trafficking in Pennsylvania, helping women experience freedom, healing, and restoration.

Supported by his wife and two children, Dan remains committed to ensuring every woman served by Worthwhile knows her value and is treated with dignity and respect. At the core of Worthwhile’s mission is the belief that every person is worthwhile.
