Upper Dublin Township officials have opened a warming station at the Fort Washington Fire House following a significant power outage caused by a downed tree along Dillon Road.

The warming station is open effective immediately and will remain available for as long as the power outage continues, providing a safe and heated place for residents who are without electricity.

Warming Station Location

Fort Washington Fire House
1245 Fort Washington Avenue

Residents are welcome to stop by to warm up, charge phones and essential devices, and remain safe while crews work to restore power. Township officials emphasize that this location is a warming station only, and ask visitors to bring personal necessities such as phone chargers, medications, medical equipment, and comfort items.

With dangerously cold temperatures across the region, officials are also sharing reminders to help residents protect their homes and stay safe:

  • Drip at least one faucet to prevent frozen pipes
  • Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate
  • Turn off and unplug non-essential electronics
  • Never use grills, generators, or propane heaters indoors

Community members are encouraged to check on neighbors, friends, and family, especially seniors and those who may be vulnerable during the cold.
