The McDonald’s restaurant located on Easton Road in Horsham Township has officially reopened, welcoming customers back after being closed for more than a year following a fire in 2024.
The restaurant began renovation work in late summer 2025 after repairs and rebuilding plans were finalized. The location reopened in the final week of January 2026, marking the end of a lengthy closure that had left a noticeable gap for residents and commuters who frequent the area.
The incident, caused by an electrical issue primarily in the basement, resulted in significant smoke and water damage throughout the building, necessitating a full closure for repairs and restoration.
One of the key upgrades includes a redesign of the existing drive-thru layout. Rather than adding a second lane, which some community members have speculated about, the project will focus on extending the length of the current drive-thru lane and introducing an additional service window. This change is intended to reduce wait times during peak hours, which make up the bulk of the restaurant’s business.
New pedestrian lamps and enhanced landscaping were planned to be added along Easton Road, as well.
The reopening follows extensive renovations to the building, though specific details about upgrades or changes to the restaurant have not been released. The fire, which occurred in 2024, forced the location to shut down while damage was assessed and repairs were completed.
Local residents have welcomed the return of the popular fast-food restaurant, which serves as a convenient dining option along the busy Easton Road corridor.
