LEGO exhibit
The Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO Bricks exhibit runs through May 17 at the Reading Public Museum. The interactive exhibition combines the science of architecture with the creativity of design, featuring LEGO versions of 20 iconic skyscrapers hailing from North America, Asia and Australia. Visitors are invited to create their own towers from more than 200,000 LEGO bricks in hands-on construction areas.

“Peter and the Wolf”
The Philadelphia Orchestra’s Family Discovery Series at the Kimmel Center’s Marian Anderson Hall presents Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf” on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., conducted by Naomi Woo and narrated by Michael Boudewyns. Learn about the instruments that make up the orchestra through this tale of a boy’s woodland adventures.

Paper cutting program
The Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center in Pennsburg, Montgomery County, will hold a program on the art of paper cutting on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants will make snowflakes and scherenschnitte. Fraktur valentines
A Fraktur Valentine workshop will be held Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Mennonite Heritage Center, 565 Yoder Road, Harleysville. Instructor and artist Emily Smucker-Beidler will introduce fraktur through the history and creation of one of its most popular motifs: hearts. Participants will choose one of four fraktur patterns and learn to make it their own, leaving with a one-of-a-kind valentine for a loved one. Ages 13 and up and all ability levels are welcome.

Choir concert
A rescheduled concert featuring several community choirs will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Advent Lutheran Church, 16 Telford Ave., West Lawn. The Scottish Festival Concert will feature the Reading Choral Society along with Berks Youth Chorus, Blue Mountain Heritage Chorus, Opus One Chamber Choir and Vox Philia under the direction of RCS Music Director Dr. Graham Bier. Each choir will perform separately and then together for “Auld Lang Syne,” a commissioned piece by Christopher Hoh. The performance includes bagpipes, poetry and song to mark the birthday of Scottish poet Robert Burns.

Ice harvesting
An ice harvesting demonstration is scheduled for Satureday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Historic Dreibelbis Farm near Virginville. The event, presented by the Dreibelbis Farm Historical Society, will include a demonstration of antique ice harvesting tools and (weather permitting) cutting and harvesting ice blocks from the pond.
There will be presentations at 1:45 and 2:30 p.m. Horse-drawn wagon or sleigh rides will be available for a small fee. A bonfire, homemade soup, hot chocolate and marshmallows for toasting will be available, and the grounds and nature trail will be open.
