A little friendly competition and a lot of community spirit will come together for local residents this month.
The Horsham Township Police Department and Horsham Fire Company will host its Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, a community-wide event dedicated to saving lives and supporting local first responders.
The event takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Horsham Township Community Center, located at 1025 Horsham Road.
This friendly "competition" invites residents to donate blood on behalf of either organization, the fire or police department.
While the competition adds some fun, the true winners are the patients whose lives may be saved through these donations. Every unit of blood collected can help hospitals meet critical needs throughout our region.
