Starting today, motorists traveling through Horsham Township should expect delays for the next two weeks as roadwork gets underway on a busy local corridor.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that milling and paving operations are scheduled along Route 463 (Horsham Road) as part of a broader regional effort to improve road conditions across southeastern Pennsylvania.
According to PennDOT, lane closures with flagging will be in place on Horsham Road between Tournament Drive and Route 611 (Easton Road) from Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 24. Work will take place on weekdays between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning.
Drivers traveling through the area during those hours should expect periodic backups and are encouraged to allow extra time or seek alternate routes when possible.
The project is part of a larger initiative to repair and resurface more than 240 miles of state highways across the region. Crews will be milling existing pavement and applying new asphalt, which helps extend roadway life, improve ride quality, and enhance overall safety for motorists.
All scheduled work is weather dependent.
PennDOT officials say the improvements are designed to provide a smoother and safer driving experience for residents and commuters who rely on Horsham Road as a key local route.
