Hatboro police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a juvenile bicyclist injured earlier this week.
Officers were dispatched around the afternoon of March 30 to the intersection of South York Road and School Road for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. When police arrived, they learned the driver had fled the scene.
The vehicle is described as a black SUV, possibly a Toyota or Toyota Highlander, with a partial license plate beginning with “MTX.” Police say the vehicle was driven by a white female.
Investigators reviewed video footage of the incident, which shows the SUV striking the bicyclist in the middle of the intersection. The driver briefly pulled over following the crash but then left the scene, heading north on South York Road.
Police are urging anyone who may recognize the vehicle or have information about the incident to contact the Hatboro Police Department at 215-675-2832 or submit a tip through the department’s CrimeWatch portal.
The investigation remains ongoing.
