The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (OPH) will provide free flu and COVID-19 vaccines this fall at community clinics throughout the County for anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Montgomery County.
Montgomery County HHS and OPH join the Pennsylvania Department of Health in recommending that Pennsylvanians follow the most recent evidence-based COVID-19 immunization guidance issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
All people 6 months and older who don’t have contraindications should get the flu vaccine.
“Our job is to provide clear, evidence-based guidance, follow the science, and enable individuals to make informed decisions,” said Dr. Richard Lorraine, Medical Director of the Montgomery County Office of Public Health. “Immunizations have been proven to reduce hospitalizations and save lives.”
COVID and flu vaccines will be available through a series of community vaccine clinics starting October 2. Walk-ins are welcome while supplies last, but appointments are encouraged and will be prioritized. To schedule, visit www.montgomerycountypa.gov/immunizations or call:

The CDC recommends getting vaccinated with the flu vaccine in early fall. Individuals can get the updated COVID-19 vaccine if it’s been at least three months since the last dose or known COVID illness. It takes about two weeks for the vaccine to build protection.
In addition to getting vaccinated, follow everyday steps to stay healthy:
