Originally built in 1717 as a summer retreat for the prominent Quaker Emlen family, the Colonial-style home features a fieldstone exterior, dormer windows, and a welcoming portico. The three-story residence sits on 2.64 acres and offers more than 7,800 square feet of living space, according to the listing with Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty agents Kim Whetzel and James McFadden.
A recent renovation has modernized the interiors while preserving historic details such as exposed brick, ceiling beams, and period moldings. The home includes six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and two half baths, with the primary suite featuring a fireplace, a freestanding bathtub, and a vanity area. French doors lead from the first floor to a back patio, and an addition to the original home includes a three-car garage.
