Start your morning with conversation, connection, and community spirit.
The Hatboro Police Department, along with Mayor Tim Schultz, invites residents to National Coffee with a Cop Day on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at 8:15 a.m. at the Steel Penny Café in the heart of Hatboro.
This nationwide initiative is all about breaking down barriers between police officers and the communities they serve. Instead of rushing past officers on patrol or only meeting during emergencies, residents get the chance to share a cup of coffee in a relaxed, friendly setting.
“We want our neighbors to know us not just as uniforms, but as people,” said Hatboro Police leadership. “Coffee with a Cop gives everyone the chance to ask questions, share concerns, or just talk about Hatboro life—whether it’s neighborhood safety, local events, or the Eagles game.”
The Steel Penny Café will be buzzing with conversation as officers and residents mingle over fresh coffee. And yes—the coffee is on the house! This is a chance to learn more about how the department works, hear about community initiatives, and build stronger connections that make Hatboro a safer, more united borough.
National Coffee with a Cop Day is celebrated in towns across the country, but in Hatboro, it’s more than a tradition—it’s a reminder that trust and understanding grow best over simple, everyday conversations.
Come for the coffee, stay for the conversation, and leave knowing you’ve helped strengthen the bonds that hold our community together.
