The summer season has unofficially ended with the coming and going of Labor Day Weekend, but fall fun is right around the corner in Margate.
The Margate Business Association's annual marquee event, Fall Funfest by The Bay, will be back Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27 and 28 in the Marina District on Amherst Avenue.
Funfest 2025 is being held 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The festival features more than 110 booths of spectacular handmade fine arts, crafts, amusements, mouthwatering foods, local retailers, commercial sponsors, nonprofit organizations and Margate City municipal departments.
There will be plenty of kids’ activities and 11 live bands and performers on the Main Stage, 12 acts on the Kid’s Stage, Scott’s Dock Wetlands Wonderland, two parades featuring Miss New Jersey, and costumed characters strolling the avenue, a beer garden with plenty of refreshing ice-cold selections, and the immensely popular Tito’s Handmade Vodka Bloody Mary tent.
Then as Saturday rolls into night, "Funfest After Dark: Definitely Not for Kids" kicks off with wine and spirits tastings and lite bites. After Dark comes alive with live music, rock classics, iconic singalongs, and timeless jams.
Now in its 24th year, Funfest, a free event, attracts thousands of visitors enjoying the breathtakingly scenic venue, bayfront promenade and the warm spirit of the people of Margate.
