The Hatboro Police Department has announced the arrest of Eric Brown, a Philadelphia resident, on Oct. 19, 2025, following the execution of an outstanding warrant.
The warrant for Brown’s arrest was issued on April 30, 2024, by Magisterial District Court 38-1-22 under docket number MJ-38122-CR-0000094-2024 and reference ID 2024-01631. The warrant was held by the Hatboro Police Department and authorized by District Court 38-1-22.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on March 19, 2024, at approximately 6:38 p.m., when officers from the Hatboro Police Department were dispatched to Continental Armory, located at 9 South York Road, for a report of a male inside the business who was believed to have an active arrest warrant. Upon arrival, officers identified and took Eric Brown into custody on the outstanding warrant.
During the subsequent investigation, officers determined that Brown had attempted to purchase a firearm while inside the business. Further inquiry revealed that Brown has a prior conviction for a violent criminal offense, which legally prohibits him from purchasing or possessing firearms under state and federal law.
Following these findings, an arrest warrant was formally issued for Brown on April 30, 2024, by District Court 38-1-22.
