The Abington Township Police Department has announced that a missing juvenile, Tyler Canuso, has been found.
Officials put out a notice on Monday afternoon about the missing child, but as of 6:15 p.m., Canuso was located.
On the morning of Oct. 13, 2025, the Abington Township Police Department was notified that Canuso had left his home sometime during the night under concerning circumstances.
According to family members, Canuso was last seen at his residence during the evening hours of Oct. 12, 2025, and was believed to have departed sometime after approximately 10:30 p.m. During this time, it appears that Canuso quietly left the property without notifying anyone of his intentions or destination.
When family members discovered that he was missing, they reported that Canuso had taken a backpack with him, suggesting he may have packed some personal belongings. It was confirmed that he did not take his cell phone, which made efforts to contact or locate him more difficult. Additionally, relatives expressed concern for his well-being because Canuso is prescribed daily medication that is important for his health, and he reportedly did not bring the medication with him when he left.
Family members described Canuso’s departure as out of character, though they also noted that he had previously left home under similar circumstances in the past, where he had been reported missing for an extended period. In that prior case, he was later found safe after having walked approximately twenty miles on foot, explaining to authorities that he had been attempting to travel to Philadelphia.
