Horsham Police have posted the following on Facebook as of 8 p.m.
"Police are investigating the report of a shooting in the area of Alison Road," said the post. "Information available at this time suggests that this is an isolated incident and that the shooter has fled the area in a vehicle."
Police said that, while there is a crime scene taped off in the area of the apartments, they do not anticipate any danger to area neighbors.
"The scene has been stabilized and there is currently no danger to the public. The victim has been transported to a local hospital for treatment," said the post.
"This remains an active incident and authorities are on the scene investigating. Updates will be provided as they become available. We want to reiterate that there is currently no danger to the public as a result of this incident."
ORIGINAL POST: Oct. 8, 2025 at 7:35 p.m. Police are currently at an apartment complex in Horsham Township, Montgomery County for the report of a shooting.
According to emergency dispatch, units were called to the 200 block of Blair Mill Road in Horsham Township just before 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8 for the call of a shooting. Units at the scene reported that a 19-year-old male had been shot. Emergency medical services transported the male around 7:10 p.m. to Abington Hospital for a wound to the neck. The call was a "level one trauma."
Montgomery County detectives, and township police, are currently investigating a reported shooting along Blair Mill Road in Horsham.Currently much of the neighborhood in and around Blair Mill West Apartments is blocked as police investigate the scene. Both Horsham Township Police and Montgomery County detectives are in the area. Horsham Fire Company Ambulance, along with other first responders, answered the call.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area of Blair Mill Road between Upland Avenue and West Moreland Road. No status update has yet been shared on the victim. It is unknown if any shooter is in custody at this time.
