Looking for a way to go green and give back to the planet, without leaving your car?
Horsham Township’s 2nd Annual EcoVent is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the Horsham Township Municipal Building, located at 1025 Horsham Road, and it’s shaping up to be both useful and fun for local families.
Last year’s first-ever EcoVent drew a strong turnout, and township officials say they’re excited to bring it back with even more opportunities for residents to make a difference. Here’s what to expect this time around.
Take Home a Free Tree
Every Horsham household can pick up one free native tree, with four species to choose from. The saplings, standing between 4 and 6 feet tall, come with free trunk protection to help them thrive once planted. Families are encouraged to think ahead about which type of tree best suits their yard and to bring tarps, ropes, or bungee cords for safe transport. Volunteers will be on hand to load trees during this drive-through event.

Shred Your Clutter
Got a pile of old bills, files, or papers taking up space at home? The mobile shredding station lets you dispose of up to four boxes securely and for free. No need to get out of your car—just pop the trunk, and volunteers will handle the rest.
Recycle Your Electronics
From TVs and computers to old cell phones, most electronics will be accepted for recycling. Many items are free to drop off, while some larger pieces may carry a small fee (cash or check only).
All participants will need to show proof of Horsham residency, so be sure to bring a driver’s license or ID with your address.
Township leaders say EcoVent is all about convenience and community. Whether you’re planting something new, clearing out clutter, or responsibly recycling old gadgets, the event offers a simple way to do good for your home and the environment ,all in one Saturday morning.
