An afternoon call regarding a suspicious individual in Hatboro led to the arrest of a woman wanted on an outstanding warrant, police said.
According to the Hatboro Police Department, the incident unfolded on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m. when officers were dispatched to the 600 block of South York Road after receiving a report of suspicious activity.
When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with a woman later identified as Elizabeth Johnson. During the course of the encounter, officers determined that Johnson was wanted on an active arrest warrant out of Bucks County.
Johnson was taken into custody without incident. Police said that while she was being processed, officers discovered she was in possession of a controlled substance as well as drug paraphernalia. The specific type of substance was not immediately disclosed, but police said the items fell under violations of Pennsylvania’s controlled substance laws.
As a result, Johnson now faces additional local charges, including:
Possession of a Controlled Substance (Title 35 § 780-113-A16)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The Bucks County warrant that originally prompted her detention remains in effect, and Hatboro authorities indicated Johnson will face proceedings related to both the warrant and the new charges.
