The recent “Fill a Cop Car” Food Drive, organized by Sen. Maria Collett in partnership with the Hatboro Police Department and the Upper Moreland Police Department, was a "tremendous success."

The event brought together residents, local businesses, and community organizations to collect essential food items for neighbors in need.

On Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, police cruisers were filled to capacity with generous donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries, and household essentials. The outpouring of support from the community was remarkable, resulting in hundreds of items being collected to benefit local food banks and pantries throughout the region.

Sen. Collett’s initiative not only helped restock local food bank shelves but also strengthened community bonds and highlighted the spirit of compassion and civic responsibility within the area.

The Hatboro Police Department expressed sincere gratitude to Sen. Collett, her team, and everyone who contributed to the event. Their generosity and kindness will make a meaningful difference for individuals and families experiencing hardship.

Special thanks were also extended to Giant Food Stores in Willow Grove and all community members who took part in this initiative. The event underscored the community’s shared commitment to supporting one another and ensuring that no neighbor is left behind.
