Chance of overnight snow predicted for Montgomery County

As evening approaches, temperatures will steadily drop

Residents across Montgomery County could see the first hint of winter weather on Tuesday, as forecasters are calling for a chance of snow flurries overnight.

Throughout the day, skies are expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy, with high temperatures reaching the low 40s by the afternoon. As evening approaches, temperatures will steadily drop into the mid-30s, and increased cloud cover may bring brief, light snow flurries late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.

Meteorologists say no significant accumulation is expected, but a light dusting could develop on grassy areas or elevated surfaces. Motorists should be aware that slick spots may form on untreated roads and sidewalks if temperatures fall below freezing overnight.

Winds will stay light, though a mild wind chill may make it feel colder at times. Conditions are expected to remain dry but chilly through Wednesday morning, with skies gradually clearing later in the day as temperatures return to the lower 40s.

The possibility of flurries marks one of the first signs that winter weather is approaching southeastern Pennsylvania. Even a light snowfall serves as a reminder for residents to prepare for colder days and potential winter conditions in the weeks ahead.
