The Kennel Club of Philadelphia (KCP) has announced its annual legacy event, The National Dog Show, taking place on Saturday, Nov. 15, and Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks (100 Station Ave, Oaks, PA 19456).

This prestigious all-breed benched dog show continues KCP’s tradition of showcasing the very best in purebred dogs, and the people who love and care for them.

  • Exhibition of approximately 2,000 show dogs representing more than 200 breeds and varieties.
  • The only benched show of its kind in the United States, where participating dogs remain on display in their designated benching areas throughout the event — allowing visitors to meet the dogs, owners, and handlers.
  • Family-friendly admission: Adults (ages 12+) $20; Children (ages 4-11) $10; Children ages 3 and under free.
  • Special experiences for visitors, including educational opportunities about breeds, handlers, and responsible dog ownership.

A Rich Heritage

Since its inception in 1879 through its predecessor clubs, The Kennel Club of Philadelphia has been at the forefront of the purebred dog world — even predating the formation of the American Kennel Club (AKC). In 2002, the event was nationally televised on NBC as “The National Dog Show Presented by Purina®,” bringing America together in celebration of the joy dogs bring to our lives.

What to Expect

Attendees will enjoy:

Ring-side action: Breed-by-breed judging across multiple rings; group winners; culminating in the coveted Best in Show title.

Benched dog interaction: Many of the dogs will remain on their benches for most of the day, allowing visitors to observe them up close, ask questions, and learn about their breed standards and histories.

Vendor village: A robust marketplace of dog-centric goods and services — grooming displays, health and wellness information, breed clubs, and more.

Educational opportunities: Whether you’re an experienced breeder, a novice pet owner, or simply a dog lover, the show offers insights into responsible breeding, care, training, and the love of dogs.
