The company will perform a controlled dismantling and removal of structures on the site on or around May 19, according to an announcement. A detailed overview of the planned demolition activities, including safety procedures and timelines, will soon be available on the official SPS website. Additionally, information regarding ongoing air quality monitoring during this phase will be shared to keep the community informed and reassured.
SPS Technologies has concluded its reclamation phase, where products (finished, in-process, and raw materials) and equipment were removed from the site.
SPS Technologies, as well as third-party companies, are continuing to test air and water quality. Monitoring results remain stable, according to SPS, with no detections of chemicals or other parameters at levels of concern in the community.
SPS Technologies is offering concerned residents the opportunity to have their roof and gutters inspected and/or cleaned. In order to have this done, residents need to submit a request with their contact information and address through the Contact section.
