On April 30, at 11:51 a.m., the Upper Moreland Police Department was dispatched to Walmart located at 1201 Blair Mill Road for a report of a theft in progress, according to police.

Prior to arriving at Walmart, police officers were told that a male stole a television and was in the parking lot attempting to put it inside a red sedan vehicle, according to police.

Once officers arrived, they found a male and female in the parking lot attempting to load a large television into the back seat of a red sedan.  A Walmart Lost Prevention Officer, who was in the parking lot at the time the officer arrived, identified the male and female as the people who stole the items from inside the store.

The female was identified as Jennifer Teagues, 34, of Philadelphia, and Bryheem Davis, 40, of Philadelphia.

According to police records, the Walmart security officer observed Teagues and Davis place numerous items into a shopping cart. Teagues was seen dragging the television across the floor of the store before Davis assisted and picked it up and exited the store, passing all points of sale without paying for the television.

Teagues left the store passing all points of sale with the following items:

  • Samsung Smart TV: $348
  • Ninja Possible Cooker: $98
  • Matress top: $79
  • Ninja Smokeless Indoor Grill: $99
  • Pedia Sure Oral Supplement: $12.97
  • Assortment of roses: $44.13

The total value of stolen items was $681.

Teagues could not provide a receipt of sale for the merchandise. Teagues was charged with multiple felony counts of retail theft, while Davis was charged with two misdemeanors.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
