A project to build 102 residential units and added retail space along York Road in Hatboro is starting to become more of a reality.
The developer at 21-23 and 37 N. York Road has completed the majority of the demolition work at the property of the old TNT Diner building located at 37 N. York Road. The next phase of the demolition work involves the demolition of the remaining buildings located at 21-23 N. York Road, formerly CVS.
Once demolition work is complete, the contractor will begin site work to prepare the site for the future apartment building. This development was placed through a thorough review by the Borough’s Planning Commission, who ultimately issued a recommendation on the Preliminary/Final Land Development at their March 12, 2024 meeting. This project also underwent a Conditional Use Hearing Process through Borough Council, which took place on Monday, Jan. 22, 2024 after favorable recommendations from the Planning Commission on the same.
Residents and business owners in the area can expect to see an increase in truck traffic taking place while demolition work takes place.
