A new police officer was sworn in at Horsham Council's latest Township meeting, held on Feb. 24.

Delaney Richardson, a 2023 graduate of Montgomery County Community College’s Municipal Police Academy, was welcomed to the township as the police squad's newest member.

“We want to make sure we are getting the best of the best,” Horsham Township Manager William Gildea-Walker said. “Ms. Richardson passed the test and we welcome her on board. We welcome soon-to-be officer Richardson to Horsham Township. She knows she has important shoes to fill. We wish her well and all the best serving our community.”

Richardson is a graduate of Methacton High School and earned a Bachelor's degree from West Chester University. This will be her first job on the police force.
