Eagles offensive lineman Kendall Lamm gained some traction over the weekend for a quote that appeared to rip his former team, the Miami Dolphins, for a lack of professionalism.

However, according to Lamm, the quote isn't real.

"One, i don't remember talking to anyone or any reporter about anything that we really dealt with in Miami," Lamm said in an instagram post Tuesday. "Two, I was never raised that way to sit there and comment on certain things, as far as culture and everything else within a locker room. Three, I have no animosity or no ill will or bad intentions towards Miami or anybody down there, whatsoever. I enjoued my time in Miami and it'll be near and dear to me forever.

"...Unless i just completely forgot doing this, I had to be miscontrued on taken out of context because i have nothing, but the utmost respect for everyone in Miami."

The alleged quote from Lamm that got spread around read as followed:

"I understand why the Eagles reached two Super Bowls in three years: players are never late, never toxic, and after every practice, the room spends 15 minutes sharing personal struggles to stay mentally sharp - something I never got with the Dolphins."

Aggregator accounts have become popular on social media the past couple of years, where they'll post quotes from players to drive engagement. Sometimes players are taken out of context, with quotes cut into a way to stir drama. In this case, Lamm's quote was completely made up.

The initial quote was attribute to ESPN, however there's no evidence that Lamm spoke to anyone at the network where that quote is used.

According to Kyle Crabbs on X, formerly known as twitter, the quote originates from a website called fahhub.cafex.biz, which has a number of false articles.

Lamm certainly seemed caught of guard by the whole debacle. The offensive linemen signed with the Eagles on a one-year deal in March. He spent the past three seasons with the Dolphins and has been in the NFL since 2015. Despite his Eagles tenure getting off to a weird spot, he'll give the Eagles depth in the trenches this season.
