Hatboro Police Department arrests man for terroristic threats, according to officials

Towey allegedly implied the presence or potential use of a firearm

On June 17, 2025, officers from the Hatboro Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Byberry Road and South York Road in response to a report of a possible road rage incident. 

According to the initial call, one of the individuals involved allegedly implied the presence or potential use of a firearm, which escalated the seriousness of the situation and prompted a prompted officers to respond to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers conducted a thorough investigation in which authorities determined that Christopher Towey had engaged in behavior that warranted criminal charges.

As a result, Towey was taken into custody and formally charged with Terroristic Threats along with an additional charge of Disorderly Conduct. 

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
