A Horsham woman who helped herself to "five-finger discounts" has been sentenced for her fifth shoplifting conviction.
Lisa Dracup, 63, of the 400 block of Avenue A, pleaded guilty last month to two felony charges of retail theft in Bucks County Common Pleas Court. She was sentenced on May 27 to one year of probation, according to court records.
As of May 27, Dracup was ordered that her probation run concurrent with any other sentences that she is serving, per court documents. She must also repay $183.57 to Target and is banned from the store. Dracup must also enroll in a shoplifters program through the Horsham Clinic.
On Dec. 6, at 9 p.m., loss prevention at the 401 Easton Road store in Warrington Township called police to report a past retail theft, committed by Dracup, police said.
Target loss prevention had already identified Dracup before police arrived, per the criminal complaint. The reason: She allegedly had been to the store on five occasions where she failed to scan multiple items at the self-checkout, for a total loss of $168.61.
According to the complaint, Dracup entered the store on Oct. 2, and shoplifted $16 worth of dog food. Ten days later, she allegedly returned and stole $11 worth of trash bags. On Dec. 3, she arrived a third time, where she allegedly shoplifted $57 in items, and returned the next day to allegedly steal $48 worth of merchandise.
On Dec. 6, police said Dracup stole $36 worth of items. Exterior surveillance cameras caught Dracup placing the stolen merchandise into a trunk of a black sedan before leaving the lot, police said.
A registration check of the car came back to Dracup, per the complaint. Authorities matched Dracup’s license photo to the suspect on surveillance images, police allege.
Dracup was free on $5,000 unsecured bail, per court records. She was represented by King of Prussia attorney Greg Dipippo.
