PECO is undertaking electrical upgrades in Hatboro, Upper Moreland, and Horsham this summer, officials recently announced.
The project involves installing new equipment, such as poles, tree-resistant aerial wires, and other associated devices along Moreboro Road, North Linden Avenue, West Monument Avenue, Blair Mill Road, Hatboro Avenue, and Newington Drive within these municipalities. Work is scheduled to begin in early June 2025 and is expected to continue through October 2025.
As part of these upgrades, PECO is investing in advanced devices that can detect and isolate faults, allowing for quicker restoration of service. Additionally, PECO is implementing an enhanced vegetation management program to reduce outages caused by trees and other vegetation. This includes tree trimming and removal where necessary.
During the project, temporary interruptions to electrical service may occur. PECO will work to minimize these disruptions and will notify residents in advance of any planned outages. To ensure timely updates, residents are encouraged to confirm their contact information in PECO’s system through MyAccount at peco.com/myaccount or by calling PECO at 1-800-494-4000.
