The Hatboro-Horsham baseball team continues its surprising run in the PIAA baseball championships.
The Hatters needed to win their final two games of the Suburban One League Division three-game series against Abington or else the team may have not even qualified for the district playoffs.
But they did win those games, and now the team has its eyes on a possible state title.
Hatboro-Horsham entered the Class 5A district playoffs as the 11 seed in a 12-seed tournament. They finished their regular season with a 6-9 record against SOL Liberty teams, and finished 7-12 overall.
Now, Hatboro-Horsham will square off against Upper Dublin on June 5 at Villanova Ballpark at 4 p.m. after an extra-innings win over Bangor, 4-3.
Upper Dublin defeated Franklin Towne 11-2 to earn its spot in the second-round matchup.
Upper Dublin swept the three-game SOL Liberty series against H-H 21-0.
