Max Yveson, 33, of the 300 block of S. Broad Street in Philadelphia, is facing felony charges related to burglary of an Upper Dublin business, according to police.
On July 16, around 11:25 a.m., the Upper Dublin Police Department was dispatched to Robert Wooler, located at 1755 Susquehanna Road, after an employee of the business noticed a suspect gain access inside the building by smashing a window, according to police.
The employee was picking up a ladder that he keeps with the rest of his tools at Robert Wooler and noticed a bike leaning up on a garage door that has never been there before, according to police. After the employee grabbed what he needed, he noticed a window was smashed out of a door. As he approached the door, he noticed it was locked, and reached through the broken window to manually unlock it from the inside. When he entered the building, he saw a black male wearing a green shit and camouflage shorts standing there with a surge protector and a power supply in his hand. As soon as the suspect saw the employee, the suspect dropped the surge protector and power supply on the ground, and fled the scene on his bike, traveling up the driveway of Allie Landscaping, 1752 Limekiln Pike, Dresher.
As police were canvassing the scene, they observed a black male, later identified as Yveson, in a green shirt and camouflage shorts on the side of the building of Allied Landscaping. He was detained by police, and a search revealed the following items in his possession:
During its investigation, police matched the suspect’s shoe prints with those at Robert Wooler, and police also recovered the surge protector and power supply left on the ground of the building.
Later that day, around 12:33 p.m., the Upper Dublin Police Department received a report of a possible break-in on the 1400 block of Dreshertown Road through an unsecured window, according to police.
Evidence recovered at that scene matched the shoe prints of Yveson, according to police. An investigation revealed that the suspect broke an electric padlock to an inside second floor room, removed a closet door from its hinges, a toothbrush on the first level, as well as a vape pen near the first-floor bathroom.
Police also recovered magazine addressed to a person living on the 1500 block of Limekiln Pike, according to police. After speaking with the owner of the residence, it was determined that a black male entered the residence through a screen door, but the owner did not contact police. The suspect entered the house and took the following items:
Contents in the refrigerator were also moved around. According to police, a V8 juice was sitting n the counter next to the fridge; and an eagle statue that was in a back room was located in the front of the house, according to police.
The male also took a hatchet from the front porch and cut open an amazon box on the front porch, according to police.
During transport to the Horsham Police Department, the suspect made the following statement: “That window was broken. So what? Even though I break the window, so what? I need a place to stay,” according to police.
Yveson faces multiple felony counts of burglary, and criminal trespass.
