The job openings are for an administrative secretary and a part-time Community Center Building attendant. A summary of the job descriptions are as follows:

Administrative Secretary

Horsham Township is currently accepting applications for the position of Administrative Secretary to the Township Manager. This is a full-time, high-responsibility role designed for a well-organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual with strong administrative and communication skills. The position serves as the executive assistant to the Township Manager, providing advanced administrative and secretarial support while managing the day-to-day functions of the Township Manager’s office.

This position involves a wide range of duties, including managing complex administrative projects, handling confidential information, resolving resident concerns, preparing meeting agendas and official minutes, and serving as a liaison between the Manager, Township departments, and the public. The successful candidate will also help ensure compliance with various legal and procedural requirements such as the Second-Class Township Code, Home Rule Charter, Right-to-Know Law, and public bidding regulations. A high level of professionalism, discretion, and a service-oriented attitude are essential.

In addition to supporting the Township Manager, the position will assist both the Director of Administration and Director of Community and Economic Development as needed. Most responsibilities are carried out independently, requiring strong initiative and time management skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible clerical/administrative experience
  • At least 2 years as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role supporting senior management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of municipal government operations is preferred
  • PA Notary (or willingness to obtain within one year of hire)

Community Center Building Attendant

Are you an extrovert who loves helping our community?

Do you want a part-time gig during evenings and weekends?

Horsham Township is looking for an individual to serve as our Community Center Building Attendant.

This individual would provide customer service during events by orienting users, answering questions, and resolving problems.
